A matter of chemistry: the wollastonite crystals of Norsi beach (Elba, Italy)
Rocks are not all equal. Before you call me a rock racist, what I mean is that they are very different in terms of chemistry and this causes them to behave very differently when they are altered by hydrothermal fluids. In the case that I am going to show, this means that some rocks are basically indifferent to chemical alterations, while in others the interaction with fluids produces beautiful crystals.
